Things to keep both the beauty junkie and the nerd inside of me happy. :)
Hey, everyone! I thought I'd start this week's string of blog posts by sharing some of the bits and baubles I've picked up recently.
First, from Target:
- L'Oreal Colour Riche Caresse (in Pink Rebellion) - These are supposedly the competitor of my beloved YSL glossy stains (which I've raved about here and here), so I knew I had to try at least one. My verdict? The formula isn't as long lasting as the glossy stains, and I find the finish a little too sticky for my tastes. I'll stick with YSL, but this is a perfectly good lip gloss for the price point.
- Physicians Formula Organic Wear Jumbo Mascara (which for some reason I can't find on Target's website) - I needed a new mascara and bought this on a whim. I was intrigued by the 'organic' premise - it has a 100% recyclable brush, and is free of the harsh chemicals and parabens that are typically found in mascaras. After several days of use, I must say I really like it. It lengthens and gives volume to my lashes, and I find that I no longer suffer from eye irritation (which I'm now suspecting was a result of using standard mascaras). I would highly recommend this product.
Then, from Urban Outfitters:
- Nail polishes, in the colors Bright Lights and Pluto - These were 2 for $8 at UO, so naturally I couldn't resist. Bright Lights is a grayish white base with multicolored glitter, while Pluto is a deep, sapphire blue with gold and silver glitter. Haven't tried these yet, but I have high hopes. (I can't find these on the UO website, but they should be in store and relatively easy to find.)
Finally, a little bonus that I'm so excited about:
- Game of Thrones, Season Two - I'm a huge fan of A Song of Ice and Fire, so of course I'm obsessed with the show. My husband and I have been cooped up all weekend watching episode after episode. Cannot wait for season three!
Have you bought anything cool lately? I'd love to know!
