I'm loving: Muse by Hourglass

Gorgeousness in a fun package.

Hourglass is a makeup line that's been on my radar for a while now, but I'd never gotten around to trying anything from them. One day, though, I cracked and picked up one of their Opaque Rouge liquid lipsticks. I chose Muse, a bright coral red that is simply stunning.  

It was love at first application, basically.

Muse goes on completely opaque in just one coat, which to me is pretty impressive. I will say, though, that it's quite matte, which means it can be a little drying. But I've found that applying it over a lip balm seems to fix that problem. And even though it might be a minor thing, I'm really a fan of the packaging. Ergonomic and easy to hold, it's the perfect size to slip in your pocket. Best of all, it's very long wearing - I've gone up to six hours without needing to touch it up, and that's with eating and drinking. I love how bold this color is, too; be prepared to answer the question "What lip color are you wearing?" I'm looking forward to trying more colors from this line (I've got my eye on this one).
